Acerta, one of Belgium’s leading HR service providers, wanted to rethink how employees experience flexible rewards. The result was FlexPay, a platform where people can convert salary or bonuses into benefits they truly value.
To make that experience both powerful and simple, Acerta worked with Little Miss Robot and Kunlabora.
FlexPay revolves around freedom of choice, but freedom only works when it feels easy. We focused on designing a clear, intuitive experience for employees & consultants navigating complex trade-offs. The interface translates legal and financial rules into plain, visual language. Tooltips, guided flows, and smart feedback help users understand the impact of each decision before confirming it.
Every component was built with consistency and flexibility in mind, from the smallest form element to the overall layout logic. The design system ensures that new features, product variations, and integrations can evolve without losing coherence or clarity.
Together with Acerta we crafted a modular design system that powers every screen and scenario. Each component follows accessibility standards, supports multiple data states, and can scale across Acerta’s product portfolio. We created adaptable templates for different employee types, ensuring a smooth experience even in complex situations like split contracts or shifting eligibility rules.
We collaborated closely with Acerta’s and Kunlabora’s teams in an agile workflow. Weekly demos and usability testing sessions kept us anchored in real user needs. Designers, developers, and product owners worked as one unit, continuously refining the experience through feedback and live.
FlexPay is now live and growing fast. For employees, it transforms confusing benefits into confident choices. For Acerta, it provides a scalable, future-proof design foundation ready to support new products, languages, and features.
For us, it demonstrates how thoughtful design systems turn complex platforms into simple, human experiences.
