PSA, which is the largest container handler at the Port of Antwerp, required a new mobile application to streamline their team planning processes, improve scheduling efficiency, and enhance overall workforce management for smoother and more effective operations.

The planners at PSA were already using an application that was deeply embedded into their daily operations. The main challenge was integrating a new application into the existing complex architecture of both PSAA and MPET.

We paid close attention to the application’s user interface design, so that each different type of user within the port could quickly and easily access essential must-know information, ensuring maximum usability and minimal learning curve for everyone involved.

Besides focusing on the design aspects, we also linked the new application to PSA’s underlying systems. We involved all necessary stakeholders throughout this process, as security measures and user management were key priorities.

Our team handled the front-end development and slicing for both mobile and web platforms, incorporating multiple different functionalities to meet the diverse needs of the users. The final product gives dock workers an easy and efficient way to manage their schedules, request leave, or schedule and swap shifts when needed.
